Any of you Christian ladies out there looking for some deep Bible study material for your own personal Devotion time? If you haven’t met her, I’d love to introduce you to Elizabeth George.
No, not that Elizabeth George. I’m not talking about the mystery writer of the same name. I know, that’s confusing isn’t it?
Elizabeth George is a speaker, Bible teacher, and entrepreneur, an Oklahoma native who now lives in California. She has authored over 80 non-fiction Christian books aimed at women or teens, and co-authored several books with her husband Jim George. I’ve been reading her books since her debut in the early 1990s. She’s one of my trusted authors: if I discover she’s written a new book, I immediately order it.

Elizabeth George Bible Studies
These stand-alone Bible studies are deep, rich in application, and interesting. I’ve done a few in small groups, which is always a great blessing, but I generally work them chapter-by-chapter as part of my daily Devotional time. These would be a great introduction to Elizabeth George’s body of work, since they are inexpensive and readily available.
I have worked every one of these studies and was blessed by each one. I’ll highlight a few favorites. As always, click the image for the direct affiliate link to Amazon.
Elizabeth George Books with Study Guide
There are many books that include a Growth and Study Guide included in the back. These guides are full of further Scripture to study and thought and application questions with journaling prompts. The Growth Guides contain helpful information, and I always study them as I read the companion chapter. Here is a comprehensive link, and I’ll select a few favorites to highlight. You can’t imagine how difficult it is to select favorites!
Elizabeth George Books with Separate Study Guides
Many of Elizabeth George’s books have a separate in-depth study guide available. Obviously, this option comes with an extra cost. I have found these study guides to be money well-spent. While I never advocate going into debt for books–even Christian growth books–I believe in making room in the budget for books, particularly Bible study books.
Here are a few of my favorite book and study guide combos:
Today is a Good Day to Begin
If you haven’t yet begun a Devotional practice, today is the best day to start! I highly recommend resources by Elizabeth George whether you are a novice or a mature believer. If you’re looking for studies for teen girls to study as a group or a mother-daughter study, Elizabeth George has edited several of her books to resonate with teens. Here’s a list of teen books. If you’re looking for couples studies, here are some options. Or here’s a list of Jim George books for your husband’s consideration if he is looking for Bible studies for himself or your sons.
My prayer is that I’ve encouraged you in your Daily Devotional time, and spurred your desire for Spiritual Growth. If you’ve done some of these studies I’d love to hear about it! I’d also love to hear about other Christian authors who have spurred your growth!

Oh, thank you for the invites! I’ll absolutely check these out.
I do agree that her books are really good! I do them by myself also. They are very “meaty” yet not difficult or burdening. The are very sound in their biblical truths and flow of them keeps you wanting more! She is one of my top go to people.
