The Heart That Heals Book Review
The Heart That Heals Book Review
So…our family is navigating a challenging season right now. Who’s with me? Anyone else traveling a rocky road?
When I’m faced with challenges, I tend to become hyper-focused on the difficulty. Worry, stress, insomnia, restlessness, and anxiety become my companions.
Tell me I’m not the only one whose immediate natural response is to fall apart. Please.
I need frequent reminders to redirect my thoughts and worries toward God and His promises. And that’s why I’m happy to share this book with you!

The Heart That Heals by Patsy Barnette
The Heart That Heals is a powerful Scripture-saturated book for those struggling through brokenness and pain. This book is the result of the author working through the tragic death of her beloved eighteen year old sister.
I especially love a book that calls me to actively engage, and this book is all about engaging. You will find:
- Scripture Coloring Page with key verse at the beginning of each chapter.
- Scripture passages for meditation and memorization before each chapter.
- Reflection and application questions at the end of each chapter.
- Ample space throughout each chapter to take notes.
- Designated spot for prayer requests/prayer journalling.
You had me at coloring sheets!
I particularly like chapter ten with its concrete practical suggestions.
Therefore, my final word is that I recommend this lovely book. It is well suited for personal study and group study.

I have not read it yet but I do her blog link up and she has great studies and I believe it will bless a lot of people and was written with love. And Christian coloring books are found at Ollie’s stores, if you have one. They are all through the south, I have been able to give away a lot to seniors, especially at about $3.
Oh wow, I would love to give away $3 Scripture coloring books. I’ve never heard of Ollie’s before.
Thank you, Kim! 🙂

Thank you, Patsy! Praying God uses your book to draw women to Him!
Neighbors @ Anita’s linkup. Our family has traveled many a rocky road. I know the angst and emotion! I wrote a child’s book a couple of years ago studying the Commands of Jesus – with coloring pages. A big success!
Great idea!
I love everything about this and will have to get one!
It’s a great book!
